About me
I graduated from university with a B.Pharm (Hons) but then moved into the world of publishing where I worked for many years. While bringing up my two children a growing interest in what makes people tick led me to retrain as a counsellor.
I run my private practice from a dedicated counselling room at my home near Stamford. I have also previously had experience working in a local GP practice as part of a team of counsellors.

I hold the following counselling qualifications:
Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling including units in Humanistic Theory, Therapeutic Practice and Helping Children and
Young People
Certificate in Counselling Skills
Ascentis Level 2 Certificate in Mental Health Awareness

I attend regular workshops to support my work, which to date have included subjects such as mindfulness, self-harm, eating disorders, and working with suicidal clients.

I am an Accredited Member of the National Counselling Society and abide by their Code of Ethics. I attend regular supervision and participate in ongoing continuing professional development.
